Toyota Helps Improve Distribution of Meals, Donates to Help Hurricane Sandy Victims

toyotaIn response to the recent natural disaster of Superstorm Sandy, the Food Bank for New York City has been scrambling to provide aid to families who were affected by the disaster. One group in particular, Metro World Child, has been providing for the community members of the Far Rockaways but has been experiencing difficulties keeping up with demand.

This is where Toyota comes in. Not only has the company already donated 250,000 meals to the cause, but they will donate an extra meal up to 500,000 for every view of their video. The video, Meals per Hour shows how a team from Toyota helped the volunteers to operate more effectively and provide much more with much less effort. As a result, the group can now deliver 18 times more food with the same amount of volunteers. Watch the video from the link above or scroll down to check it out. Here at Cumberland Toyota in Cookeville, TN we are proud to be a part of such a great company.
