For its overwhelming presence at the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas, NV last week, the Scion FR-S has been awarded “Hottest Sport Compact” for 2012. The awards are given to the vehicle from each category that is featured in the most booths at the show. Still in its first year of production, the FR-S has taken the aftermarket and tuning crowd by storm with countless upgrades and modifications quickly coming on the market. Jaycie Dane, Scion Corporate Manager had the following to say.

Below are a few videos of the Scion FR-S Tuner Challenge 2012 in which three tuners received a new FR-S, $15,000, and three months to create a custom build for SEMA. In the end, Chris Basselgia and the “Minty FReSH” FR-S build won first prize.
