Starting at the end of this year, the Toyota RAV4 EV will go on sale for markets in California. While this is a long way from Cumberland Toyota here in Cookeville, TN, it is still important news for the company as a whole and in the future we could see similar vehicles at dealerships across the country.
The amount of work that has gone into making this electric version of the RAV4 is astounding and engineers have put so much effort into eliminating the “range anxiety” that is common for EV drivers. In order to get the RAV4 EV up to its 100-mile single-charge range, Toyota has had to cut weight and aerodynamics wherever possible. Every little bit helps in the end.
