Cumberland Toyota Susan G. Komen Campaign Recap

Susan G. Komen Contest WinnerThroughout the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Cumberland Toyota participated in the Cumberland Auto Center campaign to support the Susan G. Komen Upper Cumberland Affiliates. After a full month of raising funds and working with the group, we are proud to announce the results of all our hard work.

If you recall from our last blog post about this campaign, the auto group made an initial donation of $5,000 to the Upper Cumberland Affiliates of the Susan G. Komen organization. Throughout the month, we donated an additional $5,000 for every 100th vehicle sold at any of the dealerships. At the end of the month, we sold over 200 vehicles, bringing our final donation total up to $15,000. Since these funds went to the Upper Cumberland Affiliates, they are distributed mostly to our local area with a smaller percentage going to the foundation as a whole.

The second part of this campaign was a vehicle giveaway that we used to get more people visiting the dealership. At the end of the month, we selected one customer at random and paid for their purchase. The lucky winner of our Susan G. Komen Contest was Sami Pugh, who got her brand new 2014 Toyota Camry SE paid for in full by the dealership!
