This year at the Geneva Auto Show, Toyota introduced the i-Road concept vehicle. With a tandem, two-seat cabin and a three-wheeled stance this vehicle is unlike anything else on the road today! In fact, the i-Road is probably more like a motorcycle than a car. However, drivers of this vehicle would enjoy a fully-enclosed cockpit that can protect from weather and allows for helmet-free cruising.
While the Toyota i-Road certainly looks different and exciting at first glance, there are several more exciting features one might not notice at first. The vehicle is entirely electric with a quick-charge and a range of 30 miles. While it may not seem like much, that is usually more than enough for a small city-car like this. It also uses rear-wheel steering and articulating front wheels that allow it to lean into corners! If this thing doesn’t scream futuristic, I don’t know what does.
Check out the video below for a better look. While it may not come into production any time soon, it’s still fun to imagine how life might be five or ten years down the road.
